General Deposit Policy
Please note the deposit is non-refundable. This policy is based on our experience of occasionally being unable to fill a reserved date despite receiving advanced notice.
We understand circumstances may change and we are more than willing to work with you to reschedule or modify your booking where possible. However please be aware the initial deposit will not be refunded in the event of cancellation.
Deposits may be able to be transferred to another service if you wish to modify or reschedule the booking. Please get in touch with our team as soon as possible to discuss.
Weather Conditions
If Hype House Events cancels the event due to unsafe or severe weather conditions prior to or on the event date, a full refund will be provided.
We understand weather can be unpredictable and forecasts aren’t always accurate. For this reason Hype House typically holds off on cancellations until the day of your event to assess conditions. However, we recognize that providing you with more time to develop a Plan B is beneficial so we will be in touch prior to the event to discuss any hesitations with proceeding. Having to cancel is not a pleasant experience for us but the safety of our clients and our equipment must always come first.
If the hirer wishes to cancel due to severe weather conditions, a full refund will be granted if the cancellation request is made at least 48 hours before the event date. For cancellations made within 24 hours of the event, a 50% refund will be issued. Anything less than 24 hours notice, no refund will be provided.
What if the event is cut short?
If the event is required to be cut short due to change in weather conditions no refund or compensation will be given.
If potential risks arise during the event or misuse of our equipment occurs and the event is cut short, no refund or compensation will be given.

General Deposit Policy
Please note the deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is intended to cover the costs associated with admin tasks and materials required to commence the job. We kindly request that payment be made promptly as failure to do so may result in cancellation of your booking or items going out of stock. Once payment is received this will enable us to start working on your project in a timely manner.
The bond is refundable once the hired items are returned in the same condition and must be returned by the agreed date or the bond will be forfeited. The return date will be discussed with you prior to the bond being charged. The bond will be payable upon you collecting the hired items or if we are delivering and/or installing it will be payable on the same date.

Cancellation
The client must notify us of cancellation one week prior to the scheduled service. Any payments made may be transferred to another event if services are cancelled one week in advance or earlier, however cancellations after this timeframe cannot be transferred as the balloons have likely been blown up and assembled.
The deposit remains strictly non-refundable.
Quotes & Alterations
Quotes will expire after 3 days of receiving the quote. This is because prices may fluctuate and supplies may go out of stock, the price and contents of your project cannot be guaranteed until you have paid the deposit in full. Quotes are provided on the basis of current stock available therefore any change of mind or alterations after payment has been made is not possible.
Hired items (backdrops, cake plinth etc) may be altered where possible.
